We're so thankful for Jesus...these words from our church service are very beautiful to me:
He is the First Born Son with real righteousness of His own, who pleases the Father with His life. But He travelled to the far country in His incarnation to reclaim the fool-hearted and rebellious. Because He brought life out of the grave, He raises to life those who were dead in sin. He brings us back to the Father already washed and clothed in the exquisite robe of His righteousness.
EASTER DAY...

Caroline's 1st Easter :)
Family pics after the church service...Jon's the only one who's Easter outfit didn't come from Walmart or Target.
Visiting Aunt Sigrid and Grandpa Mureen...Caroline's 1st time to meet them!EASTER EVE CELEBRATION...
Brian and Sarah had a few families over for dinner and an Easter egg hunt with all our kids...SO FUN...

The kids table at dinner...
Waiting for the daddies to hide the eggs...
This wasn't her original Easter basket that Mammaw bought her, but that one broke and J.R.'s "went-peared."
This picture cracks me up...from Zac's egg carton to all the intensity.
J.R. cared a lot more about the cars than the eggs...this car just happened to have some eggs "hidden" in it.
The Easter parade...
Car bliss...
My annual easter Southern Living Carrot Cake's icing had some issues this year due to my mathematical error...but it tasted ok :) My favorite ever cake story is here courtesy of Sarah.GOOD FRIDAY...
Totally pooped me out...I got all the kids dressed up perfectly to go to the park to take Easter pictures of them in their outfits at the MOPS Easter egg hunt, but the park was like 40 degrees, and I didn't get ONE PICTURE of the kids together in their outfits, and we got there so late we missed the egg hunt...I always think how I can get good pictures and save the money of a professional photographer, but it's always a lost cause before we even start.
And there were all these other things that made the day really stressful like having a rental car because our regular car's locks broke, then picking up our regular car and the bill was $1100 to get the locks fixed. And there were lots of other things too...like seeing lots of dads at the park with their families and not understanding why Jon couldn't take the day off too...but he said those were probably the dads that had been laid off. At the end of the day Jon wanted to watch The Passion of Christ movie to reflect on the day's events 2000 years ago, but honestly, I couldn't think of anything that sounded more horrible to do, so he watched it and I don't remember what I did instead.
