Anna Kate and J.R. on a routine trip to Home Depot...we're on a first-name basis with the kind folks that work there and Anna Kate's dream came true...getting to wear her "jammies" out in public...but only b/c it was just Home Depot.

first of all, i can't believe you tore out the backsplash! but i don't disapprove. :) (not that it matters.) and i'm thinking your new choice will do better to "hide" water and other splashes, which is a bonus for a busy mom who doesn't want her house to look messy even if it is. :) and yes to anna kate wearing her jammies out in public. and i laughed when you said it was just home depot. i let libby wear her jammies out from time to time, mainly to care group on friday evenings, and occasionally for other "special" outings. she LOVES it. seriously, she spends as much time picking out her jammies every night as she does her perfect outfit every day. so funny. can't blame her! anyway, the kitchen is looking fab. can't wait to see the final product.
