Trivia...

Question: How does someone wear the same retainer almost every night for 15 YEARS without losing it, then lose it TWICE in less than a month?

Answer: toddlers

...so both times it literally disappeared right in front of my very eyes! Once when Anna Kate dropped it in the sink and it went down the drain while I was standing RIGHT THERE and the other (after driving to Waco to get this new one) when Anna Kate grabbed the napkin it was in to wipe her hands and I was standing RIGHT THERE and it was gone, just like that and I have no idea wher it could have gone!

So I'm hoping Jon will give me a new one for me 29th birthday that's coming up. He says that's a weird gift for someone who is turning 29 b/c most people stopped wearing their retainers a long time ago and let their teeth "settle." Well, I know my teeth would settle crooked and frankly he should know that I'm just too "Type A" to let my teeth "go." Jon said I'm definitely not Type A, but I "might be" vain. And I said it's NOT vain to try to do the best with what God's given you. And then we started laughing. Whenever Jon and I disagree and it starts to get "huffy," one of us will inevitably start laughing...the problem is that it just makes it hard to ever determine a "winner!"
